To the community,

As the founder of Fostering Cuts 4 Confidence, I want to take a moment to share my journey and the purpose behind everything we do.

For more than 20 years, I’ve had the honor of serving people through barbering. Many know me as The Master Hairapist, but my story started as a neighborhood barber, building trust, sharpening my craft, and understanding the real impact that happens in the chair.

In 2015, I took a step forward and enrolled at Johnny Matthew’s Hairdressing Training School in Salem, Oregon. That experience helped refine my skills, but more importantly, it confirmed my purpose. I have always believed that barbering is more than a haircut. It is confidence, connection, and transformation.

Over the years, I’ve been blessed to travel, work in top barber shops, and provide services to people from all walks of life, including celebrities and those serving on military installations. No matter where I was, the mission stayed the same. Show up with excellence and make people feel seen and valued.

One of my proudest moments was returning to Oregon as a Barber Director and Instructor at Johnny Matthew’s Hair Training Academy, where I mentored and graduated over 200 students. That experience showed me the power of pouring into others and helping people build a future.

Fostering Cuts 4 Confidence was created from that same mindset. It is built on the belief that something as simple as a haircut can change how a young person sees themselves. Through this work, we provide more than grooming. We provide mentorship, encouragement, and a safe space for foster youth and underserved communities to feel seen, supported, and confident.

Today, I continue my work as the founder of Fostering Cuts 4 Confidence leading this movement with purpose. Everything I do is rooted in impact, service, and making sure every person we reach understands their value.

This is bigger than barbering. This is about building confidence, changing lives, and creating lasting impact.
